Condolences
I send my condolences to you Joanne and your family. It was such a privilege to be Ray’s art teacher and to watch him blossom in to becoming an amazing artist in a very short time. Besides being a natural with his brush, he was also such a kind and caring man. The children loved having him in the art class. His infectious smile attracted warm compliments and I can still here those little voices, “Mr. Ray, I really like your painting”. He would let out this little shy laugh. It was such a special time in my teaching career.
Ray and Joanne welcomed me into their home when I needed a place to stay while attending first year university. This showed phenomenal generosity when they were raising four very young children. Once the kids were all settled for the evening there was time for conversation. Ray’s introspective way of thinking demonstrated his unique curiosity about life. He was always a good listener and friend.
RAY was always one of the most grounded individuals able and willing to help anyone in need his wisdom and advise was always him sound and understanding he made the world a better place for those around him, He will be missed by al who met him My most sincere condolences to Joanne and all their family

Ray was a dear friend for a very long time. If you looked in the dictionary for a definition of kind you would see his picture.
It was such a joy to learn with him and listen to him and play and socialize with him and share our mutual philosophies of life with him. Ray was all about meaningful relationships and I will cherish his memory for the rest of my life as a gift. I already miss my dear friend Ray and send love and virtual hugs and my very best wishes to his beautiful family.
So sorry to learn of Ray's passing, I remember him fondly from so many civic political / community events back a few decades ago.
Condolences to the family and friends he leaves behind.
Dear Joanne and Family
We were so saddened to hear of Ray's passing. We (Gary and the girls) reminisced on the weekend of all the fun times we had and shared with you two. From playing bean bag toss in your back yard to picnic lunches at Kananaskis. Aside from being their Godparents, we all have our special memories of him. He will always be in our hearts and remembered fondly. We love you Ray!
