Obituary of Sharon Elizabeth IACUONE (nee Miller)

December 14, 1947 – Montreal, Quebec

May 10, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Sharon Iacuone, beloved wife of John Iacuone, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021, at the Dulcina Hospice, at the age of 73 years.

Sharon was born in Montreal, QC on December 14, 1947. She worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia for many years. Sharon and John married on July 22, 1967, in Georgetown, ON. They raised their boys in Thunder Bay, ON and then moved their family to Calgary, AB in 1990.

Sharon loved Volunteering at the Covenant Care Senior Citizen Home and was also involved in a knitting group that made items for seniors with dementia and Alzheimer’s’ disease. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and she and John wintered in their home in Mesa, Arizona.

She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband of fifty-three years, John, son J.J. (Tanya), grandchildren, Marley and Owen; and son David (Katherine), granddaughter Abigail. Sharon will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, Eugenia (Ieso) and Anna (Nuno); as well as her nieces and nephews and their children.  Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Jim.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held at a later date.
