Obituary of Judith Helen Dorothy ROLPH

April 22, 1962 – London, Ontario

May 6, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Judy Rolph of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 59 years after a lengthy illness in Calgary.

Judy was born in London, ON, on April 22, 1962. She graduated from James Fowler High School and later worked at the Vocational and Rehabilitation Research Institute for a number of years looking after the birds. Judy loved all animals, especially birds. She received a diploma from the Calgary Scope Society which she was very proud of. Judy did pottery for a time and also did some round knitting on a loom. Judy enjoyed vacations. She went on a vacation to Hawaii with one of her long time workers Denise Williams. Judy was a caring person and loved to buy gifts for people. Judy loved her family, flowers, dining out, pretty clothes, jewelry, pictures and cards. When her health was better, Judy liked to go for walks. Judy will be remembered for her distinctive laugh.

Judy leaves to mourn her mother Joyce Rolph, older brother Fred and wife Donna Rolph; older sister Deborah Long and her fiancé Sylvain Houde; niece Katrina and husband Rob Douglas of Comox, BC;  nephew Michael Long and his fiancé  Katie McKeown of Fergus, ON; niece Angela  and husband Nathan Mathews of Surrey, BC;  nephew Joel  and wife Maria Rolph of Langley BC; nephew James Long of Athabaska, AB; great-nephews, Callum and Liam Douglas, Josiah Mathews, Matthias and Jude Rolph; great-nieces, Anayah Rolph and Hannah Mathews. Judy was predeceased by her father Harold Rolph and brother Brian Rolph.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
