Obituary of Marlene Grace GOUDIE (nee Melvin, formerly McTighe)

Marlene Goudie, beloved wife of Greg Goudie, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the age of 71 years.

Marlene was born in Prince Albert, SK on December 19, 1949. She married Greg, the love of her life, on May 4, 2021. Marlene was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was an excellent dart player and was a member of a few leagues.

Besides her loving husband, Greg, Marlene is survived by her son Jim (Jackie) Brady, daughters, Donna (John) Lindsey, Cherie (Mike) Steptoe, Michelle Gillespie, and Yvonne Gillespie; fifteen grandchildren, Katrina, Josh, Eric, Tyler, Sarah, Steven, Trevor, Peter, Dominique, Trinity, Kurt, Remington, Alanna, and Teressa; and five great-grandchildren, Kristiana, Daniel, Christopher, Keyen, and Daelynn. She is also survived by her brother Daniel (Patricia) Melvin, sisters, Marie Legare, Ethel Hollingshead, Doreen (John) Kaschl, and Sandra (Brent) Young; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Alexander Melvin; brothers, Don, Ronald, and Clinton Melvin; and sisters, Joyce Reed, Margaret Bruce, Jessie Walters, Agnes Hansen, and Georgina Melvin.

She will be remembered most for her kindness and a crazy laugh that was infectious and could fill a room.
