Obituary of Dorothy Ann Evelyn BLAKE (nee Knowles)

April 28, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Blake, of Calgary, AB, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

When she was five years old, the family moved to Uncas, AB. There, on a section of land, they raised Black Angus cattle and as all family farms did, shipped cream and raised turkeys to help make a living. She attended college in Edmonton, met and married her former husband Bill, then moved to Peace River to raise their family.

Dorothy will be loving remembered by her children, Chris (Bill), Marj (Tom), Willie (Arlene) and Wesley (Margaret). Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Carmen (Blair), Jody, Ryan, Jocelyn, Connor (Rachel) and Montana; and she will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren, Dartanian, Ethan, Darius, Olivia, Asher and Daxton. Dorothy will also be remembered by her brother Richard and sister Regina. She was predeceased by her mother Deborah in 1942, father Thomas in 1969 and brother Tommy in 2014.
