Condolences
My condolences to Anita, Sean and Blake.
I was floored when I saw this obituary. Doug welcomed me into his home, when I moved from Nova Scotia to Calgary to live with the family in 1994 as I pursued my dreams in Athletics.
He and Anita treated me like family and Sean was like my brother with my new found companion then, Shadow. I can still hear Doug's un-mistakable laugh and sense of humor.
I send my best to the McCully family from back East.

Just wanted to send my condolences to the family. Always enjoyed talking with Doug at the farm when I was still at the office (Rutz Agencies).

Dear Anita, Blake & Sean and families,
I am very saddened to hear of Doug's passing and send condolences from my family. The memories that come to mind are the family picnics back at the ranch and it was always so nice to see everyone there. Doug's obituary was very well written and certainly covered his dedication to his family and the love you shared. Sending love and hugs to all of you.

Doug was my neighbour for many years & someone I could alway count on for support. Our families shared many camping adventures, World of Wheels convention, baseball games, and Christmas get togethers. Russ & I were honoured that he was the emcee at our wedding. I wish Anita, Blake, Sean and their families my heartfelt condolences as he was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed.
