Condolences
Dear Family and Friends of Hazel,
I am so sorry to learn that Hazel has passed away. It was always such a pleasure to be partnered with her at the bridge table. She was such a capable player and we spent many enjoyable afternoons together at Earl Grey Golf Club. She was also an inspiration on the golf course and I am grateful to have experienced the game and the course through her eyes. I loved hearing about her annual baking of the fruit cakes and how she sometimes had to visit several stores to purchase all of the needed supplies. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother and friend. Sincerely, Leslie Dunning
To all of you in Hazel's family, we send our most sincere condolences. Hazel was a force in all aspects and in so many ways a trail blazer much ahead of her time. Every time we were in Hazel's presence she challenged us and pushed us to be current and able to speak with knowledge on whatever the subject matter was. We tried hard, but we were never as current or well read as she was! We will miss her big smile, her sharp wit, her putting lessons, her life lessons and her famous peanut butter coookies and Christmas cakes. Take care of one another.
Kendra, Kim, Kehler and Keenan Koss
Dear Skinner Family
I golfed on Sunday morning at the Earl Grey club for several years with Hazel. She always was a kind and resourceful person. Her peanut butter cookie sandwiches were legionary on Sunday mornings as well as her avid interest in golf. May she Rest In Peace.
Dear Carole, Liz and family,
We are saddened to hear of your mother's passing. The Woofter family has many fond memories of Don and Hazel over the years when we lived across the street. I especially remember the roller blading! Your parent were true adventurers and wonderful to visit with over tomato harvests and current events. Our thoughts are with you and your families at this time, and our mother also sends her condolences.
Sincerely,
Bette Woofter

Dear Skinner family, I offer you my heartfelt condolences. We have lived next door to Hazel since 2012. In that time we have come to know her as a friend and neighbour. She was so much fun to visit with and discuss politics and current affairs. The kids in the neighbourhood all knew her for her kindness and generosity - especially at Halloween! Hazel was such a bright light and a true reminder that while our bodies age we never really grow old. She has been a true inspiration to me personally and I hope to be that graceful in my later years. All the best to all of you.
Lisa van Hemert.
