Obituary of Annemarie Elisabeth HENNINGER

May 30, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

Annemarie Henninger, beloved wife of Richard Henninger, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Annemarie will be remembered for her hard work as both a waitress, and teaming up with her husband to clean office buildings in the evening. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, and canning food. However, family was her passion; being a wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her great love of family.

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,

He knew that you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So He closed your weary eyelids

And whispered “Peace be thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone…

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

Besides her loving husband, Annemarie is survived by her first son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Dawn Henninger, her daughter and son-in-law, Judy Henninger and Jim Lemmon, and her second son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Jeannette Henninger; her six grandchildren, Cassandra Henninger, Kristopher Henninger, Michael Henninger, Ricki Carriere, Jaydan Henninger, and Shelby Henninger; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother Claus Pangritz, who resides in Germany, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and really good neighbours and friends.

Annemarie was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Maria Pangritz; her brothers, Ziegfried, Arthur, Werner and Erwin; and her sister Elizabeth.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00p.m. Family and friends are invited to join Mrs. Henninger’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
