Obituary of Cassidy Lynn CHALIFOUX

January 18, 1995 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with the deepest grief, that we inform our loved ones and friends of the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Cassidy Lynn Chalifoux, at the age of 26 years.  She passed in her sleep on Monday, May 31, 2021.

Cassidy’s leaving was very unexpected and unplanned.  She was enjoying a job with her sister, and they were discussing her upcoming advancement. She was also called back to another job that had been shut down, so she was excited about her future.

She was a huge fan of the TV show Friends, a huge music buff, especially the oldies.  She shared this love of music with her dad, often knowing the names of artists from the 60’s-80’s before he did. She had a special bond with her mother, they loved to go shopping and go to movies and dinner together. She was interested in learning about spirituality and what it meant to her. 

But first and foremost, she loved animals, sometimes more than humans, believing that animals crossed her path for a reason to give her a message, and she cherished those messages. Her first animal love was Sunshine, given to her by her Uncle Roger. She then had Marbles, Dezzy, Jasper and Charlie, and she was always looking to expand the brood.

She had a large extended family that loved her. She was extremely close with her cousins from Edmonton and Cold Lake; they all had a bond that was unbreakable.

She will be missed by all her friends, many who were long time friends, who loved her sense of humour and her ability to make them laugh. They loved to go dancing and to hang out and eat. To them, she was the kindest, sweetest soul, an angel; their hearts are hurting.

Cassidy is survived by her mother, Christine; father Tracy, and his partner Gena; her two sisters, Chanel and her partner Greg, and Shaye; brother Kale and his partner Lexi; her nana; her Auntie Crystal and her family; her Uncle Troy and his family; and many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Martin family. 

She will be joining her Auntie Zita (from who her middle name came from); her cousins,  Shyla, Shaine, Mary and Terrance; and Mama and Papa in heaven.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
