Condolences
Doug and I go back so far I scarcely know how to start. Let's say we had many good times together. Back then, Edmonton was a pretty small town. He was a great cook. He made the best venison I've ever eaten. He had bagged it out at his friends farm. Out of season if I remember right. Don't tell anyone.
We saw Jetho-Tull at the Coliseum. Ted Nugent opened the show. We went nightclubbing till early morning. He was a man's man. He had a certain way with the ladies. He had confidence and it made me feel good to be around him.
He liked to stay up on the news and we didn't always agree about some issues but we always kept it friendly and respectful. He was easy to like.
He opened my eyes as to how things were in other parts of Canada that I would have never known.
Later, when the chips were down, he was there for me. A man can't ask much more than that from a friend.
Love ya buddy.
