Obituary of Robert FITZPATRICK

Robert Fitzpatrick of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the age of 72 years.

Robert was born in Norris Point, Newfoundland on June 9, 1948.
He moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1990. Robert married Constance in 1977. Robert accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his work at TransCanada Pipelines. 
Robert was an excellent bridge and cribbage player who most loved the music of the 1970’s. Robert had an interest in amateur photography and was always so pleased to see photos of his family and friends. Robert’s most memorable vacation was when he and his dear friend Jane went on a cruise to Panama. Robert had a love for poetry and an incredible memory for recitation. 
He will be most remembered for his heart of gold and always being good for a laugh.

Robert is survived by his two sons, Andrew (Melissa) and Gordon of Calgary, Alberta; four grandchildren, Cadence, Gabriel, Dimitri and Benjamin of Calgary and Olds, Alberta.

Robert is also survived by his brothers, Donald (Judy) of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Michael (Paula) of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Genevieve (David) and Kathleen (Rick) of St. John’s, Newfoundland; and his sister-in-law Marjorie (Earl) of Trinity Bonavista Bay, Newfoundland as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved dearly. 

Robert was predeceased by his wife Constance, his father Gordon Fitzpatrick, his mother Sarah Fitzpatrick, father-in-law Robert Mackey, his mother-in-law Ann Mackey and brother-in-law Andrew Mackey.
