Obituary of Terry L. BROOKES

October 20, 1941 – June 1, 2021 

Terry Brookes passed away suddenly after a brief illness with pneumonia and cardiac complications.

Terry was born and educated in Calgary. He had an illustrious career in sales management, project management, ski resort management and also in human relations both domestic and internationally. He thoroughly enjoyed his many years working with security services at Mount Royal University before he retired in 2016. 

Terry and his wife Eileen were also experience entrepreneurs with a well established flower shop known as “Ted Brookes Flowers”. He was very community oriented serving with many organizations and charities. He enjoyed many sports especially curling and golf. 

Terry is survived by his loving wife Eileen of 35 years, one son, two daughters, numerous grandchildren and a countless number of friends. Because of his wonderful sense of humor he will fondly be remembered by many as “The Mayor of Woodbine”. Terry lived by his favorite saying – “HAPPINESS- the happiness of loving and being loved”.

Upon his personal request, there will be no Funeral Service. Private cremation by McInnis and Holloway.
