Obituary of Murray Brent Edward JACKSON

October 5, 1961 – Regina, Saskatchewan

June 4, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Murray Jackson, beloved husband of Susan Antonello-Jackson, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

Murray Brent Jackson was born on October 5, 1961, in Regina, SK, to Robert and Joyce Jackson. He was little brother to Richard (Brenda), Ron and Doug, and big brother to Angela. The family moved to Calgary, AB, where Murray met his life-long friends in school (John, Al and Ardan). He loved music and became a drummer. His drums were his pride and joy, early on lugging them around in a huge old trunk, and he joyfully pounded away on them for hours. He played in bands, The Law and C.P.W.B.

Murray started dating and later married Sue, he also welcomed her two young girls, Angel (Jason) and Vicki (James), like they were his own. He graduated from DeVry with a BSc EET which he was very proud of, this later allowed him to realize his dream of becoming an owner at NRS Technical Services. Murray and Sue were grandparents to Taylor (Travis), Dylan, Madison and Conor. Murray taught Dylan how to play the drums, and now carries on his passion for them. He was a fun-loving uncle to Chris (Tawnia), Jason, Mary (Travis), Sammi (AJ), Warren, Josh, RayAnne and Alexander. He treated everyone he met with kindness, respect and a sense of family. He affected everyone’s life in such a positive way. Murray was a truly good man, with morals and integrity, and was always laughing and joking. He had a very distinctive laugh, kind of a throaty chuckle which never failed to put a smile on anyone's face. Murray will live on in our hearts and minds along with all the wonderful memories he helped to create.

A Celebration of Murray’s Life will be held at a time when it is safe for everyone to gather. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Murray’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
