Obituary of Kenneth Henry FITCHETT

Ken Fitchett of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the age of 78 years.

Ken was born in Winnipeg, MB, on July 20, 1942, and moved to California where he met his wife of fifty years, Lona Fitchett (nee Jaeger). After having two sons, he moved the family to Calgary, AB, in 1991, where he resided ever since. After running a successful family-owned software business for thirty-six years, Ken finally retired in 2018. Ken will be remembered for his passion of camping and fishing, as well as playing host to numerous family gatherings. His ability to problem solve, think logically, and take care of his family was always his strong suit, and these characteristics will never be forgotten. Ken touched the lives of many over the years and those lasting memories and impressions will carry on forever.

Besides his loving wife Lona, Ken is survived by his two sons and two daughters-in-law, Todd and Tara Fitchett, and Tim and Jill Fitchett; and his three grandchildren, Sierra, Brianna, and Hailey. Ken also leaves behind his older sister Ruth Tuffs of Calgary, AB.

The trout in the Bow River can breathe a little easier knowing Ken won’t be pursuing them any longer.
