Condolences
Aufrichtiges Beileid!
We are very sorry to hear of the death of Barbara Lengauer, as she was not only an interested friend, but also a help and support during our occasional visits to Canada. On every trip there we met and exchanged family stories, likewise we met regularly during her visits to Germany.
With Barbara an empathic person has passed away, for her children Trisha and Julian a caring mother. This gap in our circle of friends cannot be closed.
We will honor her memory.

Barbara I will miss you. You always would ask how I am doing and I really remember our walk
in Winnipeg on a Choir tour. I wanted to go to little Italy so you came along and then on the way we went into a government building and you explained allot to me.
We then carried on and had a great dinner in little Italy on a patio.
So just maybe you are now sitting on a bigger patio.
Till we meet again Barbara
My Condolences to Trish and the Family
It was a lovely spring day in the Ghost Valley when we first met Barbara and Trish who had come on a "bird and plant walk" with our dear friend Gus Yaki. He predeceased Barbara by about a year - imagine the two of them out in the heavenly meadows or woods watching more beautiful birds .... May she rest in peace and beauty.
The German language connection appealed to us and we saw each other occasionally, and most importantly, just before the beginning of Advent we were invited to a special treat: the German Ladies' Choir (of Calgary) Christmas concert. We loved the inspiring advent and Christmas music so much that we attended every concert for the past 10 or 12 years until 2019. We were honoured to hear Barbara on stage as long as she could keep it up, and later to sit with her at her special table, enjoying Apfelstrudel and Kaffee together with her family and friends. We loved Barbara's cheerfulness, even after she had moved to longterm care.
In hindsight, we shared more than the German language, and we will miss her. We're lucky to still have Trish' and John's friendship.

Dear Trish, Julian and family,
My sincerest condolences at this sad time of the passing of your dear mother. I enjoyed singing with her for so many years in the German Ladies Choir. We had many enjoyable times together at practices, concerts and choir trips. Barbara so loved singing and I enjoyed her sense of humour as well as her story- telling. She was so proud of both of you. May she rest in peace and may you find strength and healing in the many wonderful memories you have of her.
Dear Trish, my deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your beloved mom.
I enjoyed singing with your mom in the alto section of the choir.,and her often funny comments and questions re. songs made me
laugh, she wanted to have the precise answer.
Her wish to sing “The 12 days of Christmas” her version was always part of the choir Christmas party entertainment,
We even had to do exercises with it.
Your mom was a very special person.
Wishing you strength during this difficult time.
Regards
Dagmar Thomas
My heart goes out to you Trish, Julian, family, and friends. As soon as I heard the news I had a vision of her in my mind laughing, talking, and bringing out refreshments to the patio in her backyard garden. I can see her coming into spaces and places with enthusiasm and her singing voice. I can picture the kitchen where we visited many years ago now and how bubbly she was ready to connect. I remember the times our families came together. I know the friendship my mom had with Barbara was strong and special - they cheered each other on over the years. Dad appreciated her visits too.
Her heart was big and her passions strong. She loved you, Trish and Julien, fiercely.
She was proud of you both and had stories of what she loved about you two at the ready. She will be missed.
We will miss her. from Susan and Jacob and family

Dear Trish, Julian and all family members,
My deepest Sympathy go out to all of you at this sad time. Your mom was a long time choir member of The German Ladies Choir, and I know she loved to participate in all of our plans. I remember, whenever she was asked how long she has been in the choir, she would always ask: "Eva when was your baby girl born?" The answer would always be , 1982! " Oh yes that is the year I joined the choir." It was always very special to me! May The Lord bless you with Peace during this time!
Sincerely
Eva and Emil
