Obituary of Metha Jensine D'AMICO

June 15, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Metha D’Amico, the beloved wife of the late Zupi, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the age of 99 years. 

Metha was born in Vyrup, Denmark on May 6, 1922. She moved to Canada in 1928, eventually settling in Nordegg, Alberta, where she met and married Zupi in 1942. Metha enjoyed, loved and had a passion for her family. 

Metha is survived by her three sons, Fred (Mary) D’Amico, Pete (Elizabeth) D’Amico, and Chuck (Arlene) D’Amico; one son-in-law Al Kiernan; twelve grandchildren, Pat (Dawn), Cindy (Sam), Danielle (Rob), Daryl (Julie), Mike (Kaley), Cody (Sandra), Jennifer, Erin (Garrett), Leigha (Gerrad), Troy (Janet), Trevor (Janet) and Tara (Andrew); and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Metha is also survived by her two sisters, Johanna Facco and Vera Craigmyle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Metha was predeceased by Zupi, her daughter Carol, and great-grandson Tyler. 

Family will be having a graveside service in Nordegg at a later date where they will be laying to rest both Zupi and Metha.
