Condolences
I am so sorry for your family's loss, and will always be grateful to have been blessed with a little time in the presence of such a fine person. I will not forget his vibrant spirit, and his love for life in general . May he be tending some beautiful heavenly garden, still watching over the family he so clearly cherished -- Nancy Strantz, July 21, 2021
I cannot express how saddened we were to hear of Dawn’s passing. Like so many other families- the Sharpe Family Scholarship has provided our daughter, Marlowe, with the opportunity to pursue her UNB degree. A few years ago, she had the opportunity to meet with you both and she was deeply impacted by your kindness and by your thoughtfulness. The generosity of Dawn and the Sharpe family has provided such amazing opportunities for young UNB students- his legacy will live on through the lifelong efforts and achievements of all of those students whose educations were facilitated by your family’s kindness. Our sincere condolences- Shelley and Mark Evans
Dear Susan and family, please accept Betty and my condolences on the passing of Dawn your husband of many years. It was a great shock as he was always in such good shape.
Years ago, while attending a UNB reunion, Dawn passed out to family and a few friends a jack knife with the words "This is a SHARPE KNIFE" stamped on it. This tells me that Dawn was proud of the name SHARPE, his Surname.
Dawn will not only be missed by his family, but also by his many friends. He made many contributions to his fellow citizens. May he rest in peace

We will miss our Uncle Dawn, condolences to you all.
He was very generous and kind, giving me a job to help pay my university, and all his work at Rosedale.

I was so sorry to read of Dawn's passing. We used to say hi practically every morning at the Glencoe gym but regrettably with Covid, we hadn't seen one another for awhile. We also ran in a few of the same road races over the years. He always seemed so strong and fit and always had a smile and a warm greeting. My sincere condolences to all the family.
My sincerest condolences to Susan and family. Dawn's character and personality shone through while participating in the Master Garden Program we both shared during 2020 and then for the following 20 years when he enthusiastically volunteered at the Rosedale Hospice. His dedication, sense of humor and generosity made a big impact on the volunteers and Hospice. It was a privilege to know such a kind, warm hearted man.
Susan and family - We are so very sorry to hear of Dawn’s passing. He was a such a kind, caring and lovely human being. My fondest memories of him are the times we spent together during the Alberta Light Horse Shows at Millarville in the summers, and the wonderful ‘end of season’ gatherings you and a Dawn would host. He absolutely will be missed but will remain forever in our hearts. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dawn. We went to university together and the last place we met was watching a play at Stagewest a couple of years ago now. My condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

Dear Susan:
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Dawn. We were sad to read the news but he will remain in our thoughts and memories of the great times we all spent together volunteering with Pony Club and the Alberta Light Horse Association, and the wonderful year-end parties you both hosted at the end of the riding season. He was a kind and compassionate man and will be missed by so many. Rest in peace dear friend, your work is done.
Thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you on the passing of Dawn. I remember Dawn when they lived in Tide Head.
We would visit his parents and he was just a young guy then. They were a wonderful family.
God Bless . RIP Dawn

An amazing life well-lived by an amazing man. Everyone who came into contact with Dawn felt welcomed and special, ourselves included. So honored to have known him and to continue to know his incredible family. They exemplify how much success and joy can come from building your life around hard work, compassion, and good, honest fun.
All best wishes,
Vicky and John Badger
Dear Susan
Dawn was such a great guy including me and my family in so many of his activities I can't believe I didn't get to say goodbye and now I hope when this pandemic ends we'll get to Calgary again to visit you Susan and see your garden again.
Among his many other contributions to my life I especially remember him sharing the baby chicks with my grandkids, allowing my garden class to tour your farm and contributing a quote (together with you Susan) about shallots for my most recent book.
Always keen and smart and fun to engage with, I hope to see him in another place some day. Keith and I are so extending a virtual hug at this time. Love Donna Balzer
Susan
Extending our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
We will always remember Dawn’s sweet smile and giggle, always joking!! Dawn enjoyed his life.
Dawn introduced our family to the gorgeous Queen Charlotte’s, the wildlife and the fishing. Such wonderful memories.
Dawn was respected in his professional career, diligence with your garden and most importantly dedication to his family.
Kindest Regards
Janis & Garry Kelman & Family
Susan: Shirley and I were saddened by Dawns passing. We were so looking forward to visiting both of you once this pandemic was over and the current restrictions were lifted. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. We are certainly planning to be present during a celebration of life in September.
