Obituary of Alexander (Alex) WELLS

June 11, 1941 – Innisfree, Alberta
June 22, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Alex was a loving father and grandfather who passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, shortly after his 80th birthday.

Alex will be missed by many, he was a cowboy, steel worker and a ranch hand, he taught many of his young friends how to hunt, to have a strong work ethic and the love of playing the guitar. Alex was a dad to many of our friends and they still call him dad, there are too many to name and please remember he truly loved you all. He was proud of all his children and babies in all their accomplishments. 

Alex will be truly missed by his family, James (Denise), Leslie, and Cody (Rae); grandchildren, Natasha (Mike), Tacey (Manny), Jordana (Shawn), Roger, Chandler, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Ezra, Tatem, Caleigh, Dax, Rory, Maizie, Xander, and Kotessa; special people that remained in his life, Bernice Starlight and Joanne Healy, Tasha Healy (Jeridee, Lucille, Luviana, Ian), Glen, Rhonda, Shelley, and Shawn. Alex is also survived by his brothers, Garnet, Bill, Victor, Sydney, Bruce, and Jesse, sister Gloria, and special brother Larry; as well as the Whitney, Starlight, Runner, Dixon, and Sayers families; as well as many other friends and family from Tsuut’ina, Kainai, Morley, Maskwacis and Calgary. Alex was predeceased by his dad Phillip Wells, his mother Margaret St. Germain and his bother Walter.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. Wake Services will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
