Obituary of Lydia DIESER

June 29, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Lydia Dieser of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Lydia was born in Josefstal, Ukraine on January 5, 1935.  
She immigrated to Canada in 1953. Lydia was particularly proud of her family. She cherished every visit from her grandchildren and five great -grandchildren.  She will be most remembered for her pockets full of candies. She never failed to give her great grandchildren a box of smarties or other sweet. From this gesture, she was given the title “Great Oma Smartie”.

Lydia is survived by her two daughters Rose Chapman (Allan Chapman) and Irene Schmold (Gerhard Schmold), three grandchildren, Carly Kee (Matt Kee), Jaclyn Schmold and Emily Adelantar (Kevin Adelantar) and five great-grandchildren, Winnie and Miles Kee, Maverick Babb, Lydia and William Adelantar. Lydia is also survived by her one sister Elfrida Goertz .
