Obituary of Paul Anthony GERRITSEN

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Gerritsen, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the age of 61 years.  He was born and raised in Calgary, AB.

One of Paul’s greatest accomplishments was his trade as a Refrigeration Mechanic, he was always willing to offer his expertise and expected nothing in return. Paul was humble and kind, he was a gentleman, always smiling, he enjoyed reading, movies and a good joke. We will miss his infectious laugh.   

Paul was most proud of his son Sean, who he enjoyed spending time with him whether it was hanging out or working together. He was grateful for the memories of his large and extended family.

Paul is survived by his son Sean, and long-time best friend and Sean’s mother Rita Gerritsen, his brothers and sisters, David (Lavonne) Gerritsen, Theresa Gerritsen, Mary (Joe) Lovasz, Loretta (Ted) Bendinelli, Anita (Martin) Clement and Steven Gerritsen; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a few cherished friends. Paul was predeceased by his father Herman and mother Jackie.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed on Paul’s obituary at www.McinnisandHolloway.com.
