Obituary of Matthew David FORSETH

March 20, 1978 – June 27, 2021

Matthew David Forseth of Airdrie, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in a motorcycle accident, at the age of 43 years. He was born in Calgary, Alberta, on March 20, 1978.

Matt graduated from Chestermere High School in 1996 and accomplished much throughout his life. He was particularly proud of his three daughters and the life they had created. Matt loved his family, friends, and the people he worked with at PME Inc. He had a passion for hunting, camping, riding his motorbike and was recently patched in as “Beetlejuice” in Bikers are Buddies. 

Matt enjoyed barbequing and made a mean candy salmon, and smoked brisket. He loved sports and played hockey, football, and baseball; he was also known to enter Tough Mudder events and instead of going under the “Electric Shock” obstacle like everyone else, he proved he was tough enough to run through it. 

Matt’s most memorable vacation was a trip to Mazatland, Mexico in 2014. Every morning the bartender, “Memo”, would have a caesar waiting for him at the pool. His favourite memory was a horseback ride along the ocean; his horses name was, “Diablo”. 

He will be most remembered for his smile, his sense of humour, his kindness, and the guidance and support he provided to everyone he met. 

He is survived by his wife, Aimee, his three daughters, Brooklynn (18), Cheyenne (16), and Phoenyx (13); his mother, Yolanda, brothers, Howard (Misty) and Craig (Christina); his paternal grandfather, Dennis, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. 

Matt was predeceased by his father, Dwayne, maternal grandmother, Roeth, paternal grandmothers, Elouise and Bette, and paternal grandfather, Howard. 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the hospitality centre at the funeral home.
