Obituary of Margaret (Peggy) Frances SCOBIE

March 10, 1928– Montreal, Quebec 
July 2, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta 

Margaret (Peggy) Scobie left us on Friday, July 2, 2021, after a long and difficult journey. She was the eldest daughter of James Day Shearer and Hilda Smith of Lachine, QC. In 1948 Margaret married Gordon MacDonald Scobie. Margaret was predeceased by her sister Jean Norma Holcomb and brother Andrew Thomas Shearer. She leaves behind two treasured sons from her marriage to Gordon, Brian (Ardyth) of St. Laurent, QC and Graham of England; and two long-time and faithful friends, Joanne of Toronto and Eric of Calgary. Margaret travelled extensively and for many years spent time in England and her home in the Bahamas. 

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

A private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.

In living memory of Margaret Scobie, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
