Obituary of Shannon Marie BROWARNY

We are heartbroken to announce that Shannon passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 4:40 a.m. in her mother’s arms after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shannon was born to Walter and Marie Browarny at the Calgary General Hospital on December 9, 1962. Shannon was a graduate of James Fowler High School and Mount Royal College in administration and accounting. Shannon spent most of her working life with the family business, Browarny Photographics. After her father’s death, she remained on with Walt Browarny Legacy. In 2016, Shannon joined Robert’s Jewellers and worked alongside Gemologist Dave Roberts as an administrator up until her passing. 
Shannon enjoyed her home and neighbours in Tuxedo Park. Her yard was always full of birds, squirrels and rabbits who would all come daily for food. Never would a stray animal leave her home without food or shelter. 

Shannon is survived by her mother Marie Browarny, brother Allan Browarny, niece Sophia Browarny and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbours who will all miss her dearly. 

Shannon was predeceased by her father Walter Browarny in 2011 and nephew Corbin Olason Browarny who passed away in a tragic car accident in October 2020. 

Shannon was a very special person who left us all too soon and she will be missed more than words will ever express.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
