Obituary of Marilyn Elizabeth OLLENBERG (nee Bosch)

Marilyn Elizabeth Ollenberg (nee Bosch) of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 79 years.

Marilyn was born in Beiseker, AB on July 4, 1942. She married Les Ollenberg, and they moved nine times with two small toddlers before settling in Calgary, AB, and adding two more children to the mix.

Marilyn was highly creative and held many jobs during her working years, but her true love was family history, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, beading, making jewelry, and painting. Her latest endeavor was adapting recipes to accommodate a multitude of sensitivities and the Calgary environment.  She was never satisfied so she never got to the publishing stage.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Lester Ollenberg, her daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Ollenberg and Bill Bloss; daughter and son-in-law, La Lane Ollenberg and Brian Sperling, son and daughter-in-law Kirk and Angela Ollenberg, son and daughter-in-law, Kraig and Erin Ollenberg; grandchildren, Jason, Candis, Jason, Vanessa, Royal, Skylar, Madi, Miranda, Megan, Taylor, and Avia; and her great-grandchildren, Chase, Callie, and Kaylee. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, CarolAnn (nee Bosch) and Jeff Berkley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her mother Florence Bosch (nee Teierle), father Joseph Bosch and sister Jeanette Malinowski (nee Bosch).

Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Center Street N, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
