Obituary of Susan MARCINE (Nee Dyck)

May 11, 1945 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

July 6, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Sue Marcine is with her Saviour. She passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the age of 76 years.

Sue was born in Saskatoon, SK, on May 11, 1945. She entered the world with her identical twin sister MaryAnne, joining her parents, Jake and Rose and older sister Margaret. Sue met her husband, Jim Marcine, in Winnipeg, MB, and they were married on September 3, 1966. Together they lived in twenty-seven houses, seven cities, five provinces and one state. Sue had a loving, servant's heart and was generous with her time and abundant in her love for all those she encountered. Her passion for God, family, people, and career, is a testament to the remarkable woman she was. She excelled at everything she put her hands to. Sue modelled the gift of hospitality which included loving, caring, sharing and serving. It was her greatest desire to leave that as a legacy for her family.

Sue will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jim Marcine, three daughters and sons-in-law, Leanne and Brad Currie, Melissa and Andrew Janz, and Kristy and Sean Cook; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Dave), Kristin (Matt), Tay (Liz), Zachary, Cole, Madison, and Mackenzie; five great-grandchildren, Abby, Sophia, Isaac, Emma and Jude; and her sister MaryAnne Brenan.

In living memory of Sue Marcine, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th STREET SE, CALGARY, AB T2Z 4E6, Telephone: 403-203-0525.
