Obituary of Agnes Jane Jamieson PERRINS

July 25, 1933 – Lockerbie, Scotland
July 14, 2021– Calgary, Alberta

Agnes Perrins, beloved wife of John Perrins of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July14, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Agnes was born on July 25, 1933 in Lockerbie, Scotland to parents Agnes and Martin Bruce.  She worked as a nurse in Scotland and served as a nurse in the Royal Air Force.  Agnes married John Perrins in March of 1954 and they moved to Canada in 1957.  She worked for most of her career for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan and after she and John retired, they moved to Calgary to be closer to their son and his family.  Agnes was very active and participated in many running races as well as enjoying cross country skiing and being out in nature. She enjoyed travelling and spending most winters at their home in Florida.  

Agnes leaves to mourn her husband of sixty-seven years, John, son Bruce Perrins (Deborah); grandchildren, Bruce James, Brittany (Bobby) and Kaitlyn (Justin).  She is also survived by her sister Eliza Duncan (Eric- deceased) of Toronto, ON.  She was predeceased by one niece Anne Duncan and is survived by her nieces, Irene, Margaret, Catherine and their families. 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 2:00p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Agnes’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
