Condolences
I had no idea, as I moved from Calgary in 2008. Deb was our neighbour and, "Ranger"(as a lot of people called John)was, I'd say, the best friend, ever, I've had. Too, I can't see anyone eclipsing him, in that regard, in my lifetime. His love for Deb was so obvious. He'd tell me something she'd done then, with a chuckle, add, "that's my girl!" I wish to express, to Jessica and Adam, my deep condolences and, heartfelt sympathy, on the loss of your Mom. There isn't a week goes by I don't think of "Ranger"
and, now, I guess it'll be the same, with Deborah. Rest peacefully.
My sincere condolences to Deb's family. I worked with Deb for a number of years. She was a lovely person who lit up a room when she entered. I loved her humour, her kindness and how down to earth she was. So very sorry for your loss. ~ Jasjit Dhillon
My sincere condolences! I remember Deb's tremendous contribution to the move from our former office location to Centre 10!
We will miss you!

Adam, Jessica and family, my deepest condolences on your loss. I worked with Deb for many years at the NEB. She was a friend and colleague who was always supportive. My strongest recollections are about her fantastically pragmatic approaches to problems that I was challenged to solve myself. I know your loss is fresh right now. I hope that, in time, you will gain comfort from looking back on the love and happiness you shared together.
My sincere condolences to all of Deb's family . She was not just my team leader but also my mentor and one of the first two people I met at the then NEB. She will be remembered for her compassion.
You will be missed.
RIP Deb.

Jessica, Adam and Luca,
I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and Grandma. She wasn’t just a mom, she was your best friend, a shoulder to lean on, and always had advice and life experiences to share. She will he dearly missed by everyone.
Dear Marilyn, Don, Tommy and all of Debbie’s family back in Calgary,
Growing up as Debbie’s cousin in Ottawa, I have so many very happy memories of our years together, as young children and then sharing fun times, during all those summers at the cottages. She was such a beautiful bride, on her wedding day and again we shared precious memories at her reception, that evening. Her and I kept in touch so closely in the last few years, both on Facebook and on Messenger. She was always right up there, with the correct answer or our talks about memories from the past, that she shared with me, even discovering that we actually shared ‘Ann’ as our middle name. Heaven has truly gained a very special Angel now with Debbie, as she joins John, Rick, her Mom & Dad and so many Aunts & Uncles. Rest In Peace Debbie.
My Deepest Sympathies to all,
Love, Faye
Deborah has been one of my favourite people I've had the pleasure to work with, and was always a source of laughter, encouragement and support. She was a very special person, taught me a lot, and showed me what it looked like to be a good public servant, good friend and good mom. Her stories and approach to friends and family were inspiring, and she made a real difference to so many. I especially loved working with her on projects that needed us to take some risks...there'd be a twinkle in her eye and a little smile when she'd say "well....why can't we? Let's do it." She was a real leader, and strong person. I will miss her, and I know that her passing will be a tremendous loss to her family and many, many friends. My most sincere condolences, XOXO, Tracy Sletto

Deborah was an incredible person. Her love for family, sincerity in all that she did and that strong independent spirit touched so many of us. I am fortunate that Deborah called me her friend. Like you, I will cherish our laughter together, adventures and lively discussions.

Jessica, Adam and family, Deb was a dear friend to me and many others during our years working together in Ottawa. She was truly one of a kind - smart, principled, so funny, and kind. The best laughs - the ones with tears running down your face - were the ones I had with Deb. She lived life on her own terms and with enthusiasm - it was always something wonderful to be around her. I’m so sorry for your loss. The world is truly less bright with Deb’s passing.
