Obituary of James (Jim) Albin BOUCK

James (Jim) Albin Bouck of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Jim was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 21, 1934. He was raised on a farm east of Carstairs, and then moved to Calgary to attend High School.
Jim married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, in 1958. They celebrated 52 years together until her passing in 2010. Together they raised a daughter, Kimberly, who married Jason Groot in 1999. They brought pride and joy to Jim and Shirley by giving them two grandchildren, Jesse (15) and Summer (12).
Jim attended Mount Royal College and Washington State University where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Alberta and received his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1968. He accomplished much through his work life and was particularly proud of his 26 years of service for the City of Calgary where he served as the Manager of the Waterworks Division. One of his proudest achievements was the design and oversight for the expansion of the Bearspaw Water Treatment Plant that was completed in 1984.
Jim is survived by sisters Joyce and Phyllis; and was predeceased by his parents, James and Amy; as well as his brother Vernon and sisters Gladys, Florence and Doris.
