Obituary of Dorothy "Eleanor" McDONALD

July 12, 1929 – Indian Head, Saskatchewan

July 23, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with sadness that our dear friend and relative, Eleanor McDonald of Calgary, AB has left us to our memories on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the age of 92 years.

Eleanor was born in Indian Head, SK, and attended school there for twelve years before moving to Regina to pursue a business career. In 1961 she moved to Toronto, ON, where she met and married her husband, John Graham McDonald, who predeceased her in 1992.

Eleanor and John travelled extensively. Eleanor continued to enjoy many tours and cruises around the world up until her passing.

She will be missed by her two cousins, Valerie Starr and Adele Vella of Ontario and Adele’s extended family and her step-children, Katherine, Bill and David, his wife Bonnie and their children, Megan, Robert and Shannon, all of BC.

A Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens Cemetery (24223 Township Road 242, Calgary, AB), on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
