I will remember Nancye for her patience while playing cards and games. She never minded losing as long as her family was there.

We, Trudy and Eion MacDonald, remember with gratitude all her gracious kindness to two strangers from a foreign land all these many years ago. Shel lives in our memories. Our son born long after we left Canada shares her maiden name Gavin but as a first name so that link is aye fresh. Betty and I were very sorry to hear of Nancye's passing. We enjoyed many good times with you and Nancye when we had our cottage beside you at Gull Lake. I also had the privilege of working with Nancye on the Gull Lake Camp Board for many years. I always admired her calm nature, but also how capable she was to make the hard decisions. Her leadership abilities were always respected by all on the Board. She had a great love for Gull Lake Camp and I know for a fact, if was not for her, there would not be a Gull Lake Camp now. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

First, her steadfast courage and positive attitude during her many medical challenges were exemplary ! Second, her quiet but persuasive re-imagining of the historical Gull Lake Baptist camp experience remains her greatest reward ! We thank her and your family for being such devoted supporters of the camping cause for youngsters of many denominations across Alberta As we celebrate the camps centennial in 2021 we know a special note will be made of Nancye’s leadership over these many years.
