Obituary of Richard Joseph SOULODRE

June 7, 1954 - St. Boniface, Manitoba                
July 20, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Richard Soulodre, beloved husband of Barbara Soulodre (nee Cann) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Richard was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on June 7, 1954. He moved to Calgary, AB with his family in 1994. Richard married Barbara in 1980 and were looking forward to celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary in August. Richard was an accomplished salesman and entrepreneur and founded Crompton Western Canada in 2001, an industrial wholesale business that he built together with his son Christopher for nearly 20 years. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara, and son, Christopher, both of Calgary, AB.  Richard is also survived by his brothers Gilbert and Marcel and his sisters Cec, Annette, Colette and Denise.

Richard was predeceased by his brother Robert (Bob).

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, July 30, 2021 at1:30p.m. with a Graveside Service at Prairie Sky Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Soulodre’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
