Obituary of Patricia ABOUGOUSH

July 22, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce that Patricia Abougoush, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the age of 75 years. 

Patricia was born on May 10, 1946 in Ponoka, AB. She started her nursing career in 1968 and married the love of her life, Adel Abougoush, in 1969. They moved to Calgary where they worked and raised their family together until Adel’s passing in 2002.

Patricia was a kind and gentle woman with incredible inner strength and compassion. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She was always there for anyone who needed her, she did everything she could and more for everyone. She was a blessing to all. Patricia will be dearly missed, but her legacy will live on through the important lessons of love, acceptance and service to others which she instilled in her family and friends.
 
Patricia is survived by her son Tallel Abougoush, her daughter Suehila Mahoney, her son-in-law Shawn Mahoney, her honorary daughter Jeana Yaeck, four grandchildren, Adam, Erika, Blake, and Zeph Mahoney; and her honorary grandson Gavin Yaeck. She is also survived by her siblings, Ken Brady, Gerry Brady, Sheila Robbins (Graham Robbins) and Kathi Omana as well as many other family members and friends. 

Patricia was predeceased by her husband Adel Abougoush, her parents, Gerald and Verna Brady; her siblings, Don Brady and Lorraine Smith; her nephew Refai Haymour, her father-in-law Ahmed Abougoush, and brother-in-law Frank Omana.
