Lisa Graves, beloved wife of Allan Graves, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the age of 52 years.
Lisa was born in Calgary, AB on January 26, 1969. She graduated from Western Canada High School. Lisa worked as a receptionist for Canada Trust Reality, CIR Reality, and Remax before working as a server/waitress at Water Works Pub, Bob's on the Hill, Stratho's and then Schooners Bar and Grill. Lisa was an excellent slow pitch ball player, she enjoyed fishing, floating on the pontoon boat with friends and family at Mabel Lake, reality TV shows and talking with her friends on the phone in her beautiful back yard. Her favorite place on earth was Hawaii, in particular the island of Oahu and Waikiki where she visited well over 25 times. Lisa was particularly proud of giving birth to her beautiful girl Kianna.
Besides her loving husband Allan, Lisa is survived by her daughter Kianna, and mother Patricia Allardyce of Fernie, BC. She is also survived by her father-in-law Larry Cerny, aunts, Grace Williams, and Linda Chomokovski; parents-in-law, Ken and Arlene Graves, sister and brother-in-law, Cindi and Nigel Sparling, nieces, Haille Sparling, and Amy Sparling; as well as her beloved cat Kona.
She will be remembered most for being kind, thoughtful and supportive. A wonderful daughter, mother and wife.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel Of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Lisas service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Thank you to Lisa's close friends and family who contacted Lisa regularly to offer support in one way or another. Also to the many Nurses, doctors and health care workers who took such good care of her.
