Obituary of Eustace Nassirudin AZIM

Deen Azim of Calgary, AB passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 75 years.

Deen was born in Cornelia Ida, Guyana on January 25, 1946. He immigrated to Canada in 1969. 

Deen enjoyed travelling, flying, and photography. He also loved long drives and exploring local cultures. He took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Deen is survived by his one daughter, Alia Azim Garcia in Calgary, Alberta; one son and one daughter-in-law, Adrian Azim and Thienly Azim in Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren, Adly, Kai, Amelie, Elise, Emir, and Nisa in Calgary, Alberta. 

Deen is also survived by his one brother and one sister-in-law, Robert Azim and Savitri Azim in Swan Hills, Alberta; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Esther Naraine, Diana Sutherland, Janet Seeram, and Robin Seeram; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Deen was predeceased by both of his parents and his sister, Bibi Barran. 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek Hospitality Centre, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB)  on Saturday, July 31 2021 at 2:00 p.m. MST. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Azim’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
