Condolences
Dick was a good friend and colleague. He had a quick mind when it came to dealing with new and complex technologies. When equipment failed, Dick would find a way to get things operating again, either by his own hands or through the hands of his people. He had an appreciation for the past, so even though his main focus was computerized systems, he valued the old machines that gave NCR it's name. Dick was generous. An old cash register came through his department from a coffee counter at the grocery store next to the NCR office. Though company policy required it to be scrapped, he didn't have the heart to see it destroyed, and saved it from the dumpster. He eventually gave to to me, and each time I see it, I think of Dick.
I extend my sincere sympathy to all his family and friends.

Sitting here reading that our old neighbour Dick has left.
Thinking of you Shirley, Diane,Darlene and the rest of Dick’s family. We lived across the street from him and remember Sophie as well. He will always be remembered by so many in Village on the Green in Douglasdale.
Loving thoughts to you
Deanna and Dave
