Obituary of Soc Tan Chan

August 4, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Soc Tan Chan of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

Soc Tan was predeceased by her loving husband Ly Ung and daughter.

She is survived by her daughters: Kin Wah Wong, Chhe Kin Ung and Chiv Kien Ung, and sons: Jian Zhong Huang, Tony Wong and Randy Ung. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Soc Tan enjoyed cooking and traveling, as well as being an active member of the Calgary Hope Christian Community Church. 

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Agape Hospice, the nurses at Palliative Home Care and the caring church members from Calgary Hope Christian Community Church for their support. 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Chan’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
