Obituary of Annie BRODSKY

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the age of 93 years. 

Annie was born in Calgary, AB where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Eddie (predeceased) in April of 1948. Mom is lovingly remembered by her children, Beverley (Larry), David (Nola), Marilyn (Jim), Joel (predeceased) (Jacquie); grandchildren, Sam, Terri (Blake), Mike (Kelly), Jennifer (Sat), Matthew (Tasiana), Marin (Danny), Andrew, Lindsay (Matt); and five great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Max, Lincoln, Jad and Aya. Mom is also survived by her brother Billy (Frances) and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Charna. Annie was predeceased by her sisters, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty (Max), Dinah (David), Miriam (Arnold), David (Renie) and (Alec).  She leaves behind many nephews and nieces that she adored.  

Family was everything to her. Annie was a leader in the community, always a forward thinker and had an amazing strength of character. A private funeral will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery, Friday, August 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Brodsky Endowment Fund at JFSC or Temple B’nai Tikvah will be gratefully appreciated. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
