Obituary of Leonard John George Barbet

Len Barbet, beloved partner, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at the age of 92.

Len was a veteran of the Royal Air Force and graduate of the Willesden School of Art and the London School of Fine Art and Printing. In his lengthy career as a commercial artist, Len spent many years as art director for two national advertising agencies and received numerous packaging and book design awards. 

He will be most remembered for his love of family, passion for winemaking and legacy of beautiful watercolour paintings hanging in private collections around the world.

Len is survived by his beloved partner Marva Topliss, his sons, Ken Barbet (Tracy Barbet) of Calgary, David Barbet (Linda Andersen) of Calgary; stepdaughter Judy Stevenson of  Calgary; his grandchildren, Ralene Anderson (Mike) of Canmore, AB, Keely Stevenson of Langdon, AB; his great-grandchildren Connor and Parker Anderson; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Len was predeceased by his wife Beryl in 1996.
