Obituary of Lyndon Gedorio

January 7, 1967 – Cebu, Philippines

August 5, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Lyndon Gedorio, beloved husband of Maria Gedorio, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 54 years.

Lyndon was born in Cebu, Philippines on January 7,1967. Together with his family, they moved to Calgary, Alberta in 2009.

Lyndon graduated from Law School at the University of San Carlos and continued to practice his profession under the office of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. Lyndon married Maria Clona in 1998 and together were blessed with two sons Ken and Jeff.

He loved to play basketball, a sport he enjoyed teaching his boys its in-and-out and all its different tricks to practice. He loved spending time with family in the many parks in Calgary, especially that in the picturesque Banff National Park and Lake Louise. Lyndon also taught the boys their first bicycle ride and toboggan ride during the winter that made it more memorable and precious.

He will be most remembered by his former classmates from law school and friends for his wit that would easily draw laughter. His quotable “one liners” which are now priceless classics for his batchmates. For others, he is remembered as a quiet guy, a man of few words. A good man who valued good friendship. Someone who is humble and kind and ready to give a helping hand. For his family, he is the most loving and devoted father to his two boys. He is funny, kind and gentle. A man with a very big heart.

Besides his loving wife, Lyndon is survived by his sons, Ken Francis Gedorio and Jeff Andrew Gedorio; his mother Romana Neis Gedorio and sister Liezel N. Gedorio in Mandaue City, Cebu Philippines; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Lyndon was predeceased by his father Francisco Gedorio Jr.

Viewing and Mass services will be held in private by his immediate family at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on August 11, 12 and 13, 2021.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 15 Templebow Road N.E. Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join Mr. Gedorio’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
