Noreen moved to Calgary, took a basic accounting course, and started working. She met and married Robert “Bobby” Deibert June 30, 1956 in Calgary where they resided other than a short time in Australia in the 1970’s.  She continued to work fulltime throughout her life, for other companies doing bookkeeping or doing the books for the company she and Bob started together. Noreen loved golf, bridge, travelling, entertaining family and friends and her greatest love was the casino, many trips to Bonners Ferry to enjoy the casino. She will be most remembered for her home-made Baily’s every Christmas and the chocolate zucchini cake that always came out for company.

Noreen is also survived by her two brothers Jim (Celina) of Calgary and Hugh of Kelowna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Noreen was predeceased by her loving husband Bob in 2018, in 2019 she moved to Didsbury where she spent days outside in the flowers.  Noreen loved animals, especially dogs and in her honour please consider donating to an animal rescue in her name.  This would certainly benefit those animals in need but also know how much it would have meant to her.

Noreen’s wishes were to enjoy life while you can, no service will take place as per her wishes.  She will be cremated so that she, Bob, and their beloved dog Wally can be scattered together at their favorite fishing hole. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
