Obituary of Albert John Kamplin

January 20, 1965 – Calgary, Alberta
August 11, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

We are saddened to lose our father, Albert Kamplin so suddenly on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the age of 56 years, leaving his children behind, eldest Stephan Kamplin and youngest Nicole Kamplin. 

Albert was truly a strong man who is survived by his two beautiful children and his special friend Leisa. He was predeceased by his lovely late wife, Marney Kamplin who had sadly passed six years prior.

Albert was born January 20, 1965 in Calgary, AB, and was loved by many family members and friends. He had a strong love for his two dogs, Kenzie and Rio and a passion for fishing where he mostly did catch and release as he had the biggest heart for animals. Albert had the most unconditional love for his wife Marney, she was the love of his life and their bond was so strong that they got married quickly and later on had two beautiful children.

Albert helped coach Stephan's soccer team when he was younger and stood next to Nicole as she did gymnastic compositions and cheered them both on. He really did love his children more than anything. 

Many people who have crossed paths with Albert knew he was a very strong and stubborn man with the biggest personality, who had the silliest laugh that would make anyone laugh for hours. Everyone knew he was very passionate towards many things and loved his family, as well as his work-family at First On Site Restoration, like his own. After Marney’s passing and his kids grew up and moved out he found love and happiness again with Leisa Bookout and they built a special bond together. 

Albert’s infectious humour and goofy personality will be dearly missed by his children and Leisa. We are so saddened to no longer have him here with us. But take comfort in knowing that he is at a happy place and at peace where he will be spending the rest of his days casting a line in the river and listening to Jimmy Buffet with his beautiful wife. We will miss you so much dad and we can't wait to see you again one day soon.
