Obituary of Sok Hang "Agnes" Sim

January 22, 1939 – Labuan, Malaysia
August 16, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Agnes Sim, beloved wife of Kiok Seng Lim, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 82 years.

Agnes was born in Labuan, Malaysia on January 22, 1939. She moved to Singapore in 1940 and immigrated to Canada in 2004. Agnes and Kiok Seng were married in 1964. Some of her happiest moments in life were when she became a Canadian and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Agnes was a good cook and enjoyed mastering Chinese gourmet cuisine. She travelled around the world, including countries in Asia, Europe and North America. Agnes also enjoyed sailing on a cruise ship and visited venues such as Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, New England and Mexico. 

Agnes is survived by her twin daughters, Rachel Lim and Maria Lim; son Anthony Lim, daughter-in-law Renée Lim, grandson Christopher Lim and granddaughter Melissa Lim.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of The Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Parish (1100 Berkshire Boulevard NW, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
