Obituary of Mary Margaret WOODWARD

July 5, 1930 – Okotoks, Alberta

March 23, 2021 - Moncton, New Brunswick

Mary M. Woodward of Memramcook, NB, formerly of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the age of 90.

Mary was born on July 5, 1930, in Okotoks, AB. She will be remembered for her sense of humour and determination in life. Mary is survived by her sister Beverley J. Smith of Calgary; her niece Wendy Roberts of Memramcook; and sister-in-law June Woodward of Winnipeg. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Charlie" F. Woodward. Mary retired as a Supervisor with Trans Alta Utilities where she worked since she was 18. She was a member of the Canadian Kennel Club, past Secretary-Treasurer of the Alberta Kennel Club, attended numerous dog shows and bred multiple champion dogs. Dogs were her and Charlie's passion, they bred, showed and travelled all over the world doing shows. She was a member of the Trans Alta Retirees Association and enjoyed travelling with her husband. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.
