Obituary of Anne Lister

Anne Lister, beloved wife of Meredith Lister, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the age of 65 years.

Anne was born in Castor, AB on April 9, 1956 and married Meredith in 1976. While living in Fox Creek, AB, from 1976 until 1995, she volunteered with Fox Creek Minor Sports coaching kids in baseball, soccer and ringette as well as being an active member of the executive. Anne moved to Calgary in 1995 and was a realtor partner with her husband from 2000 until 2021. Anne accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She loved to call her friends and family members and learn of their activities. Anne had a love for the ocean and her most memorable vacations were when she travelled to Ireland and to Hawaii. She will be most remembered for her love, love for her family and friends.

Anne is survived by her husband Meredith Lister, two sons and daughter-in-law, William Lister, and Kevin and Jennifer Lister; and five grandchildren, Courtney, Nathan, Nolan, Milo and Mavi. Anne is also survived by her two sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Fetaz, and Pat and Jeff Beck; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maureen and LaVerne Bialowas; mother-in-law May Lister, as well as three nephews, Andrew Beck, Michael Beck, and Cory Bialowas; and three nieces, Marie-Louise Beck, Tricia Beck and Jody Honeyman.

Anne was predeceased by her first husband Bill Judd, and parents, Mary Anne and Charles Fetaz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Lister’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
