Condolences
As an “old” friend from Keith’s Brantford days, I am saddened to hear this news! Keith WAS an important part of my life through our mutual love of “band/symphony” music, Keith with his French horn and me, on my bassoon. We spent a large part of our lives practising, playing and performing together in the Brantford Memorial Concert Band and The Brantford Symphony Orchestra, as well as The Pauline Johnson Collegiate Band. What wonderful memories I have!
I trust you, also, have memories dear to you, that will bring smiles to your face and a twinkle to your eyes,
(As an aside) we also spent our Saturday nights running a fundraiser B-I-N-G-O on behalf of The Memorial Band. What fun!
Sincerely,
Nancy (Cable) Gibson
Keith was my cousin and it's the little things that enter my memory most. I remember him laying on his stomach in front of the TV on Christmas Day watching a hockey game. I can see him on the porch at the Crowder family reunion at Uncle Bert's farm, playing his french horn. We were both kids. As a young teenager he took me for a ride in his new Mustang and showed me some of his favorite haunts in Calgary. When I moved to Calgary and then got married, Keith, Lynne, Nadine, and Keith's parents became our family. Lots of little one-offs I will never forget. Love to you, Lynne, Nadine, David, and Lauren.
I was fortunate enough to get to know Keith just a few short months ago. What a great, proud man. He loved his family deeply. I am grateful I got to listen to some of his favourite Sonja memories. I am grateful to be there for my dear friend Nadine as she navigates the days, weeks and months ahead. Your Dad loved you so much. I am grateful that Lynne has Zane to look after her, furry friends are the best companions and Zane adores you, Lynne! To know Keith was to love him. Rest easy, good sir - you will be missed.
Many good memories of Keith during his time volunteering on Heritage Park boards and committees. His diligence and accuracy were very appreciated. He had an easy smile and a sly sense of humour. Keith left an indelible mark on the Park, and on me. I will miss him greatly.
I had the opportunity to meet and work with Keith volunteering at Heritage Park and we became friends. He was a great guy and I learned so much from him. Take care Keith and rest in peace. Dave.
