Obituary of Denise Agathe Scheffer

January 31, 1941 – Russell Twp, Ontario
August 23, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Denise Scheffer (nee Leduc) of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly due to congestive heart failure on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Denise was passionate about her grandchildren and was highly involved in every adventure they pursued. Her friendship was infectious, and her laughter was one of a kind. She has many years behind her with her volunteering work. If you ever met Denise, you know she was always ahead of its time when it came to her electronics, her generation wasn’t as knowledgeable as they should be, but Denise wanted to know all about it. She loved and looked forward to her get-togethers with her close friends, just to get out of her apartment and talk about the world. If you ever remember and asked her to bring over a dish for a family holiday she came with her infamous deviled eggs and they never lasted long, they were delicious! Denise was an incredible part of the Zurawell family and will be missed by all her family and close friends. 

Denise will be sorely missed by her daughter Suzanne Scheffer, son Luc Scheffer of BC, son-in-law Ray Zurawell; and her grandchildren, Sean, Owen, Riley, Benjamin, and Raylene. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bernard Scheffer, and her daughter Hélène Zurawell.

A large shout out to the friendly and helpful Staff at the Bow Valley Retirement home, Denise talked highly of how she was treated and enjoyed every minute.
