Obituary of Daniel Robert Blake Warwoda

September 4, 1976 – Winnipeg, Manitoba

August 22, 2021 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound grief that we announce the passing of our beloved Danu, on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the age of 44 years.

Danu was born in Winnipeg, MB, on September 4, 1976, moved to Calgary, AB, March 1977, and attended  Lester B. Pearson High School, graduating in 1994. He was continually learning and exploring, due to his deep sense of curiosity in all things.

He was known for being a freethinker, had political interests and liberally shared his thoughts on making the world a better place. He was a fierce vegan, and a gifted artist, designer and inventor. He exhibited his art across Canada, as a young adult, and was well known in the Calgary art scene. He had his own faith in "the ALL", was very kind, honest, compassionate to all living things, and had a deep sense of justice and mercy. He was well loved by family, friends, neighbours, the vegan and art community, and all those he touched with his especial spirit and beautiful soul.

Danu is survived by mother Donna Kaliska-Warwoda, father Dennis Warwoda, sisters, Brandy Warwoda-Roberts, Ginger Warwoda and Tiffany Warwoda-Khuu; grandmother Marjorie Vautrin, great- aunt Erma Armit,  nieces Theda Khuu and Elle Roberts; nephew Tyson Khuu, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Danu was predeceased by his grandparents, Steve and Frances Warywoda and Ladislav Kaliska.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held. In Danu's memory please help the ill, the weak, the rejected, the poor and the downtrodden. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

Realms of a Nu Day

Naked came I and naked shall I goeth,

From this land of ungodly chaos

I came to spread love and peace

And in any realm I will not cease

For I believe as do the trees

In kindness for all

And my gentle soul knows no bounds

Only the infinite possibilities of all realities

For Danu, my beloved brother

The bestest big brother a little sister could ever have

All time and space exist all ways always
