Eduard Kubke of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the age of 93 years.

 

Ed was born in Siemien, Poland on December 3, 1927. Ed worked for The City of Calgary and loved his family and going to his Shuswap cabin. He was passionate about reusing items and enjoyed puttering in his garage – he didn’t want anything to be wasted. Ed was outgoing and loved being with people and joking around.

 

Ed is survived by his daughters, Rita Jacobsen (Peter), Evelyn Neame (Roger), and Rose Smith (Malcolm); his beloved grandchildren, Lindsay Jacobsen, Nicole Jacobsen (Patrick Domanko), Rachelle Neame, Alexander Neame (Samantha Torrance), and Aydan Smith; his great-grandchild, Quinn Domanko, and his brother Hermann Kubke.

 

Ed was predeceased by his loving wife Linda Kubke (nee Liebrenz), his sister Olga Unrath (nee Kubke) and his brothers, Bernhard Kubke and Siegfried Kubke.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.  A graveside service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery and a reception will also follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
