She volunteered with many organizations over the years, Red Cross, libraries, and Churches; as well as her daughters' schools, Brownies, Newcomers Groups and the Family History Library in Seal Beach, CA. Marjorie was an avid reader and in later years, listener of audiobooks as her vision failed. She was a bridge player, seamstress and knitter. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Marjorie was particularly proud of the time she spent as a driver with the Canadian Red Cross in Toronto during World War II. She was also proud of having completed her high school diploma as an adult. She had a passion for genealogy and tracing her family history. She was happy to help anyone trace their family. Marjorie enjoyed trips to England and Europe with her family. A memorable experience for her was flying on the Concorde jet with John from New York to London. On that trip, they spent time in London, Istanbul and on a Mediterranean Cruise.
