Obituary of Betty Myrna Ann WHITTERON (nee Sontag)

May 17, 1934 - September 3, 2021 

Betty Whitteron of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Betty is survived by children, Debbie Van Oostenbrugge, Curt Whitteron (Paula)  and Jaye Whitteron, her grandchildren, Megan Van Oostenbrugge (Armando Armero), Sara Kleinsasser (Jason), April Robinson (Adam), Mark Whitteron (Carly Buckley), Tyler Cochrane (Talia)  and Kyle Cochrane and her great-grandchildren, Lincon Armero, Hannah and Jake Cochrane, and Harper and Theodore Cochrane. She is also survived by her sister Bev Jones; her brother Murray Sontag (Judy) and many treasured nephews and nieces. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. 

A private Family Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at a later date.  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed here.

In living memory of Betty Whitteron, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
